I’ll tell you how I came to invent my custom leather orthotics.

My orthotics story.  Many years ago, I went to an Asheville, NC podiatrist to buy some orthotics.  Of course, he recommended arch supports.  After casting my feet, he subsequently created a pair of plastic, rigid orthotics.  After I wore them for a few hours, my feet began to ache! These hard plastic shoe inserts were just not natural. They were not comfortable and not adjustable.  After a few days, consequently, I took them back to the podiatrist.  He tried to adjust them by shaving them down to no avail.  I’d paid $180 but still had sore feet!   This event happened over ten years ago!  Now the chiropractors, podiatrists, and doctors are getting $300-$400 for a pair of non-adjustable, plastic or foam (petroleum) inserts.

What I needed were leather arch supports for shoes that were adjustable for my feet!  This way, I could gradually change my feet over time to be more pliable and healthy!
